Dog days

A recent post on my other site Mindful Photos features a lot of dogs, but I saved this canine cutie for Scooter Shooter.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

He/she was spotted at a local Pride festival in the early Autumn and was photographed from the seat of my TravelScoot mobility scooter.

That was the first Pride event I’ve been to. My alter ego Scooter Shooter was made to feel very welcome – scooter shooting, cameras and all.

I got some great photos and gave the organisers some to use for publicity next year. The more “street” style pictures are sitting on my hard drive and will make their way onto here soon.

After years as a roaming photographic biped, these days I take most of my photos from a mobility scooter. I’m disabled after developing motor neurone disease, but I’m determined that won’t stop me enjoying my passion for capturing life through a lens.

Click on the pages in the site menus for my story and more of my pictures, and do visit again soon. The site is regularly updated.

This candid was taken on an Olympus OMD EM1 with 12-40mm f2.8  lens at 1/60, f5.6 and iso 2500 (It was very much a grab it and get away shot! I do hope the dogs are OK.)
